The Ambassador of Palestine returns to Abruzzo to meet the institutions, trade unions and the Church

CGIL Pescara, as part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of its birth, intended to strengthen closer relations with the Palestinian people. For this reason, between 13 and 14 October, they organized a series of meetings in which the Ambassador of Palestine, Abeer Odeh, participated accompanied by Hani Jaber, representative of the Palestinian community. In particular, the Ambassador was welcomed by the Mayor of Pescara Carlo Masci, by the Mayor of Montesilvano (PE) Ottavio De Martinis, by the Mayor of Cepagatti (PE) Gino Cantò, by the Mayor of Spoltore (PE) Luciano Di Lorito, by the President of the Regional Council of Abruzzo Lorenzo Sospiri, by CGIL Pescara and the Syndicate of Pensioners SPI-CGIL of Cepagatti, and by the Archbishop of Pescara Mons. Tommaso Valentinetti. The wish was to sensitize the interlocutors to speed up the process for the recognition of the State of Palestine, create twinnings between local and Palestinian administrations, promote cultural, social and commercial relations, and provide correct information, in the public debate and in schools, on the abuses and violence suffered by the Palestinian people from Israel, also participating in projects to concretely help the Palestinian population.
